Scriu acest articol pentru ca multa lume nu intelege diferenta dintre Windows-ul OEM si Windowsul Retail. Amandoua versiunile sunt identice din punct de vedere al programului, au aceleasi functionalitati au aceeasi interfata.

Diferenta intre cele 2 versiuni sta in pret si cel mai important in modul de achizitie.

Windowsul OEM fie el XP, Vista sau Windows 7 este intotdeauna cumparat impreuna cu un calculator. Astfel daca cumparati un calculator si doriti sa ii instalati pe el Windows licentiat cumparati odata cu el un Windows OEM. Avantajul este ca la pachet faceti o economie de 3-400 de RON (depinde de versiunea cumparata)

ATENTIE !!! Windows OEM nu poate fi cumparat singur intotdeauna trebuie sa fie cumparat cu un calculator fie el desktop sau laptop.

Windows Retail – versiunea retail se gaseste in magazine la un pret mai mare decat versiunea OEM. Diferenta este ca nu sunteti obligat sa cumparati un calculator sau o componenta pentru a achizitiona aceasta versiune.
